SUPPRESSOR SETUP

SUPPRESSOR SETUP

Suppressor Setup Fees: $250.00+***

***This DOES NOT include any replacement parts or components, or additional charges for non stock ammunition required for testing purposes. See more information below!

We here at SRT FIRMLY believe that you should NEVER need to worry that your AR rifle set up is 100% reliable!  That same belief extends to an AR rifle, with a suppressor added.

There is a delicate balance between having a reliable rifle and being able to add a suppressor and maintaining that same reliability!

The reasons for that are caused by many different factors.

> Your gas port in the barrel size may be either too big or too small.

> The Buffer may be incorrect.

> The Buffer Spring may be the wrong spring weight.

> The ammunition you are using may have inconsistencies.

The list can go on and on.

Strategic Response Tactical will eliminate the guess work and guarantee that your AR / Suppressor set up will be 100% reliable, 100% of the time, every time you pull that trigger!

What is the Process?

For the "Suppressor Setup" service you will be required to either drop off or send the following:

* The complete rifle

(If the barrel length is under 16" and is a SBR please include a copy of your tax stamp!)

* The suppressor and mounting options

(please Include a copy of your tax stamp)

* 1 magazine (Magpul, Lancer, Okay Industries, HK) if you do not have any of these, testing will be done using my personal magazines.

(PLEASE NOTE AT ANY POINT DURING THE FOLLOWING STEPS, IF ANY ISSUES MANIFEST WE WILL CONTACT YOU IMMEDIATELY FOR DIRECTION.)

*Additional information regarding test firing:

Testing will be conducted using 5.56 full power NATO / military ammunition. Both M193 and M855.

(If you intend to use M855A1, 75 or 77 Grain OTM ammo in your rifle please let me know so I can plan accordingly!!!

Step 1. Once your AR and suppressor arrives, a quick function check on your AR will conducted. If there are no issues during the checks, we'll continue on.

Step 2. A live fire test will be conducted without the suppressor mounted. If no issues manifest we'll continue on. ( 5 rounds fired )

Step 3. Your suppressor will be mounted using the supplied components, and the alignment will be checked. If there are no issues during the check, we'll continue on.

Step 4. A live fire test will be conducted WITH the mounted suppressor.

This is the discovery step.

Things we will be looking for are:

* Rifle function

* Recoil impulse

* Ejection pattern

* Bolt open on last round

* Overt gas blowback

Step 5. Evaluation and recommended necessary changes / adjustments to your AR setup.

Let's discuss Step 5 in more detail.

As annotated in Step 4, there are specific things we look for from a AR / Suppressor setup. There are many factors that can affect those specific points. The biggest factor in most cases is the gas function of the system, and that is directly affected by the size of the gas port of the barrel.

Gas port Too Small:

Too small of a gas port and the rifle won't function properly, but in some cases once a suppressor is mounted the additional gas pressure created by the added suppressor may eliminate that function issue. If that is the case, then opening the gas port slightly will create a functioning rifle both unsuppressed and suppressed! That's a simple fix / WIN!

However,

A too Large Gas port:

In most cases the gas port of the barrel is too large, adding a suppressor will increase the already overt gas pressure causing many issues and potentially damaging components, which is very bad!

You may be asking why the gas port in the barrel is so large.

Here's the honest to GOD reason!

Most rifle and barrel manufacturers have large gas ports in order for the consumer (you) to be able to shoot almost every brand of ammunition available! Which isn't really a bad thing, because you have many different choices and costs to consider.

So what are the options?

As I stated earlier, if your barrel has too small of a gas port it can easily be

A. opened to a correct size to allow complete reliable function both suppressed and unsuppressed.

Or

B. you can just replace the barrel with a larger gas port. (note sarcasm and unnecessary expense)

Ideally a too small gas port is the much easier and less expensive scenario.

Now, the too large gas port scenario.

Option 1.

I can install a YANKEE HILL SUPPRESSOR GAS BLOCK that can be fine tuned to your rifle / suppressor. Typically installed to a rifle setup that doesn't remove the suppressor.

Option 2.

The easiest solution is to have an adjustable gas block installed.

The adjustable gas block allows you to adjust the gas flow on your rifle / suppressor setup. Basically fine tuning to a specific brand of ammo. It takes a little effort on your part when you change to different brands, typically effected by cost of the ammo, or if you want to shoot a different weight of bullet!

Now, here's the dilemma with the Adjustable Gas Blocks.

There are a WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM!

I will list my 5 suggested adjustable gas blocks in order of preference.

#1. RIFLESPEED GAS CONTROLS: $200.00+

Easily the fastest way to adjust on the fly!

#2. SLR Rifle works Sentry 7: $150.00+

15 position adjustable AND easy to clean!!!

#3. AERO PRECISION ADJ Gas Block: $80.00+

15 position adjustment, easy to clean..

#4. CMMG Zeroed Adj. Gas Block: $80.00+

20 position adjustments, easy to clean

#5. ODIN WORKS Tunable Gas Block: $60.00+

I have this one! Simple design, set it and forget it!

Step 6.

Necessary changes made and or components replaced, a final test firing will be conducted.

Both suppressed and unsuppressed.

Once completed with no issues, and complete reliability established, the rifle and suppressor return process will begin.

I will contact you with the final total cost (including shipping) and estimated ship date, once payment is received!

FEES:

$250.00: Initial cost for Suppressor Setup

Additional charges added for replacement parts and components.

Additional charges added for non stock ammunition for testing.

(855A1, 75gr or 77gr OTM)

If you wish to purchase any of the mentioned Adjustable gas blocks, I will get those for you at my dealer cost + shipping.

The customer will be responsible for RETURN SHIPPING COST!

PLEASE GET SHIPPING INSURANCE!!!

Other information:

I am a Type 7 FFL and a SOT 2 holder.

You can send both your rifle and suppressor directly to me.

Once completed I will send both directly to you, no need to use a FFL / SOT2 on return.

*****I will need a copy of the tax stamp for the suppressor.*****

***If you have a SBR, I will also need a copy of that tax stamp as well.***

AND THE BIG QUESTION:

How long will this take???

Once I have your rifle and suppressor and get it evaluated, and determine  what needs to happen. I will be able to give you a rough estimate on completion date, but it really will depend on shipping times!

Best case scenario: 7 to 10 days

Worst case scenario: 7 to 21 days

I have zero control of shipping times!
