Why INSPECTIONS are necessary?

Let me be brutally honest here.

The entire firearms industry has FAILED miserably with QUALITY CONTROL!

Too many AR rifle and AR components manufacturers have issues and shortcomings with their products. Problems and issues have surfaced way too often to ignore.

* Manufacturers NOT FOLLOWING the TDP when manufacturing components.

* Lack of QUALITY CONTROL during manufacturing.

* Using substandard materials in manufacturing.

* Poor assembly procedures by untrained individuals.

* Little to no QUALITY CONTROL when final tests and check are conducted.

No one should have to be concerned that a new rifle or new components are not to standards and specifications.

Unfortunately this is the current situation we deal with.

The only was to eliminate worry or concern is to have everything inspected!

- Complete Assembled Rifles ( New or Used )

- Assemble Uppers ( New or Used )

- Assembled Lowers ( New or Used )

- Stripped Uppers ( New or Used )

- Striped Lowers ( New or Used )

- BCG / Bolt Carrier Groups ( New or Used )

- All AR components 

PLEASE READ the descriptions for each below.                             

The Inspection Services must be paid for with CASH placed in the box with your order. 

If you don’t send CASH, your order will be returned without any inspection performed. 

We DO NOT offer refunds for these services.

Cash means paper CASH. 

Cash does not mean Crypto, PayPal, Venmo, or some other hipster online currency service. We do not accept trades or barters. 

**The complete Rifle needs to be degreased prior to shipping. Wipe off oils and grease, do NOT remove any carbon build-up or deposits from the rifle!**

A completely assembled rifle sent for the inspection service will have the following accomplished.

> PRE Function Check and Test firing. * (see notes below)

> A complete in depth visual inspection will be conducted.

> A complete disassembly.

> Each component will be thoroughly cleaned, carefully examined and checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP.

> Each component will have the information documented and certified.

> Rifle will be reassembled following the correct specification and procedures.

{ Please understand items such as roll pins, crush washer, castle nut can not be reused, they must be replaced when being assembled. SRT will replace them with mil-spec components. }

> Reassembly procedures will be documented and certified.

> FINAL Test Firing. * (see notes below)

Owner will receive an extensive file with complete listing of each component, the specification and the findings of the inspection.

* NOTES:

PRE Function Check: will be conducted prior to test firing.

If the rifle fails any step in the checks, the owner will be contacted immediately for direction!

PRE Test and FINAL Test Firing: 

Testing will be accomplished using 10 total rounds of 5.56 full power NATO / military ammunition. 5 rounds of M193 and 5 rounds of M855.

(If you intend to use M855A1, 75 or 77 Grain OTM ammo in your rifle please let me know so I can plan and test accordingly!!! Additional cost will be necessary!!)

               PLEASE NOTE I WILL NOT ZERO YOUR RIFLE!!!!

Complete assembled upper receiver **see additional notes**

**The Complete Assembled Upper needs to be degreased prior to shipping. Wipe off oils and grease, do NOT remove any carbon build-up or deposits from the Upper!**

Understand the Upper will be COMPLETELY disassembled for inspection. 

> A complete in depth visual inspection will be conducted.

> Complete disassembly.

> Each component will be thoroughly cleaned, carefully examined and checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP.

> Each component will have the information documented and certified.

> Once the total inspection is complete, the Upper will be reassembled per specifications

> Reassembly procedures will be documented and certified.

**ADDITIONAL NOTES**:

I will test fire REASSEMBLED Upper receivers prior to shipping at the owners request. Additional $25.00 cost will be involved.

Testing will be accomplished using 10 total rounds of 5.56 full power NATO / military ammunition. 5 rounds of M193 and 5 rounds of M855.

- A full function check will be conducted on the fire control group.  

- A complete in depth visual inspection will be conducted.

- Complete disassembly.

- Each component will be thoroughly cleaned, carefully examined and checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP.

- Each component will have the information documented and certified.

{ Please understand items such as roll pins, crush washer, castle nut can not be reused, they must be replaced when being assembled. SRTLLC will replace them with mil-spec components. }

- Once the total inspection is complete, the Lower will be reassembled per specifications

- Reassembly procedures will be documented and certified.

ASSEMBLED LOWER RECEIVER:

I will NOT remove the castle nut of the receiver extension aka Buffer Tube due to factory "staking" unless directed by owner! 

If you decide to have me check / gauge the receiver extension (Buffer Tube) both the castle nut and receiver end plate will need to be replaced. Replacements will be Mil-spec components for additional fee.

The Striped Upper will be carefully examined and extensively checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP. 

Each section will have the information documented and certified. 

Inspection results will be extensively documented and returned to owner.

Any issues found during inspection will be reported to owner for direction.

The Stripped Lower will be carefully examined and extensively checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP. 

Each section will have the information documented and certified. 

Inspection results will be extensively documented and returned to owner.

Any issues found during inspection will be reported to owner for direction.

**The BCG / Bolt Carrier Group needs to be degreased prior to shipping. 

Wipe off oils and grease, do NOT remove any carbon build-up or deposits from the BCG!**

All components will be Cleaned, extensively Inspected, Checked, Gauged and Measured. Inspection results will be extensively documented and returned to owner. Any issues found during inspection will be reported to owner for direction.

- Reverse Torque Test:

Please understand a "reverse torque test" will be conducted on the Carrier Gas Key screws. The Carrier Gas key screws will be checked using a reverse torque test in 2 sequential steps.

* 1st step is at 20 Inch Pounds, * 2nd step is at 30 Inch Pounds

Should the Carrier key screws torque fail, (loosen or break) the gas key and the screw will need to be replaced. 

You will be contacted prior to any actions.

If necessary a replacement Gas key will be:

A "Milspec / TDP Spec" Phosphate coated / Chrome lined with correct sealant between Gas key and carrier

Screws will be either: 

- MOACKS

or 

- Grade 8 TORX screws (very similar to MOACKS but less expensive!!)

** Properly torqued to TDP spec 58 inch Pounds

** Properly Staked in 4 positions

(SRT will contact the owner for direction on replacement and costs involved.)

Notes for Gas Key replacement:

SRT will not use or install any Gas Key other than the TDP spec Phosphate coated / chrome lined. This includes TiN coated, Nitride, Hard Chrome, etc.

NOTE!!! SRT WILL NOT REINSTALL USED GAS KEY / SCREWS!

Your BCG will not be lubricated when returned to owner.

Important Tips:
1) Always check your Barrel and Bolt with Headspace Gauges. It MUST close on a GO Gauge, and should NOT close on a FIELD Gauge.

2) Always check for Gas Tube/Carrier Key Alignment.

3) Passing a SRT Inspection does not guarantee your BGC will run in any AR. The Barrel, Gas System, Buffer System, Ammunition, and Magazines play a huge role in the reliability of your AR.

- Barrels: $50.00

- Gas blocks: $25.00 

- Gas Tubes: $20.00

- Buffer Tubes: $25.00

- Buffers: $20.00 

- Buffer Spring: $20.00

- Lower Parts Kits: $30.00

- Upper Parts Kits: $20.00

Each individual component will be carefully examined and extensively checked, measured and gauged to ensure the component is within the specifications outlined in the TDP. 

Each component will have the information documented and certified. 

Inspection results will be extensively documented and returned to owner.

Any issues found during inspection will be reported to owner for direction.

I am a Type 7 FFL Dealer and manufacturer, you are able to send complete rifles, lower receivers both stripped and assembled directly to me. In turn, I will be able to send them back to you directly!!

(If you send a new thumb drive, I will save all the data, details and documents on it for your records!)

Keep in mind the shipping timeframe, I have no control over that!

If you want 2nd day delivery, be prepared for that cost!

Insurance is HIGHLY recommended!
